October 21-25

Fall Break
No school for two weeks. The first quarter is over already and the first of our two week breaks between grading periods is here. School starts up again with the second quarter at the regular time on Monday morning, October 21. If you're looking for something to do during these two weeks, here's a suggestion for the second week of the break.

 Parke County Covered Bridge Festival

Catapults
Last week's schedule called for an investigation of catapults and any variables that might affect their performance. However, neither science class (Mr. Ellars and Mrs. Ashley) were able to get to that area during the week. That will be our main area of concentration in science the week of October 21. Also look for a fun surprise on Thursday. (As long as the weather cooperates!)

Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences begin on Wednesday, October 30 and continue on Tuesday, November 5. If you haven't already made arrangements for a conference time with your child's homeroom teacher for that meeting, please feel free to e-mail during the break.
